About me

I live the heart of rural Nottinghamshire, in an area surrounded by open countryside and ancient woodland.  I trained as a classical pianist and worked full-time as a university lecturer for several years before switching to part-time work, enabling me to travel widely across the UK combining activities both as a musician and a photographer.

My photographs have been published widely in national newspapers both in print and online (including The Sunday Times, The Independent, The Guardian, The I and the Daily Mail) and magazines (including BBC Wildlife, Outdoor Photography and Digital SLR Photography), and have been displayed in major exhibitions across the UK at venues which include the British Museum, Alexandra Palace and the Mall Galleries, London.   My photographs have also appeared on national television on BBC1, Channel 4 and Sky News.  I have won numerous awards in major competitions, winning the Animal Behaviour category in the British Wildlife Photography Awards, 2015 and reaching the final round of Wildlife Photographer of the Year, 2016.

I hope you enjoy looking around my website.  For my latest work, please visit me on social media via my facebook page, my twitter feed, or you can read and subscribe to my blog.  If you would like leave a comment, please feel free to sign the guestbook, or get in touch via the contact page.
